S.J. Lamboley has had more than seventeen years in the field of college admissions. She was an admissions officer at a major East Coast University for seven years and Director of College Guidance at a College Preparatory High school in Bethesda, Maryland/Washington D.C. for ten years. S.J. Lamboley is a member of the professional organization NACAC "National Association for Admission Counseling".

With her extensive background in college admissions, she is available to guide and counsel any student who is interested in applying to the college of their choice. Using a step-by-step process she can:

• Create a comprehensive list of colleges appropriate for the student's academic and personal interests

• Develop a personal timetable including admissions and testing techniques

• Provide scholarship and financial aid information

• Counsel students on interviewing techniques

The Personal Consultation
An initial consultation with the student and the parents can be done over the phone, in person or by e-mail. Once that is complete, the materials needed for the complete consultation will need to be gathered. These include:

• A copy of the student's high school transcript

• A copy of the student's standardized test scores (SAT, SAT II, ACT)

• The student's personal or academic writing samples

• A biography (can be provided by College Choices) detailing academics, extracurricular activities, outside interests, jobs, college location preferences and possible major
